#Recycled Fibers
Recover launches global campaign highlighting industrial-scale recycled cotton solutions
Recover™, a producer of recycled cotton fibres and cotton fibre blends, has launched REAL, its first global brand campaign. The initiative calls on the textile and fashion industries to focus not only on future recycling technologies but also on solutions that are already commercially available and delivering measurable environmental benefits.
The campaign responds to what Recover describes as an imbalance in the sustainability debate. While considerable attention is devoted to emerging recycling technologies, existing solutions capable of operating at industrial scale often receive less recognition.
Against the backdrop of ongoing discussions about greenwashing and greenhushing, Recover argues that proven recycling technologies should be more visible and adopted more widely.
The company emphasises that investment in future innovations remains essential but should be accompanied by faster implementation of existing solutions.
Recycled cotton already integrated into global supply chains
Over recent years, Recover has expanded its recycled cotton technologies, industrial production capacity and international partnerships.
Its mechanically recycled cotton is now integrated into global textile supply chains, supported by traceability systems, verified environmental impact data and commercial applications.
According to the company, Recover recycled cotton was used in more than 200 million garments in 2025. This figure illustrates the extent to which mechanically recycled cotton has moved beyond pilot projects into large-scale industrial applications.
Boris Mercier, CMO at Recover, explains the thinking behind the campaign: “Our industry spends a lot of time talking about what sustainability could look like in five or ten years. That conversation is important. But so is recognizing the solutions that are already available today. REAL is our call to shift some of the attention from future possibilities to present realities. Recover recycled cotton is already proven, already scaled and already being used in hundreds of millions of garments. If we want faster progress, we need both future innovation and realworld execution.”
Eight pillars highlight recycling capabilities
The REAL campaign is structured around eight pillars: Recycled Cotton, Impact, Scalability, Accessibility, Quality, Natural Fiber, Traceability and Responsibility.
Together, they highlight the technical, environmental and commercial characteristics of Recover's recycled cotton solutions.
The company uses mechanically recycled cotton derived from verified textile waste. The recycling process is designed to preserve the natural characteristics of cotton while producing fibres suitable for industrial textile manufacturing.
Environmental performance is supported by third-party certified Life Cycle Assessments, while industrial-scale production is enabled through a global network of recycling facilities and supply chain partners.
Recover also highlights the importance of consistent fibre quality and accessibility. Its recycled cotton is already used in commercial collections and integrated into established manufacturing processes.
Traceability is another central element of the campaign. Recover employs a three-part approach combining Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certification with physical and digital tracers to support material verification throughout the supply chain.
The eighth pillar, Responsibility, addresses environmental, social and governance practices across the company's operations.
Global campaign across industry events and digital channels
REAL was introduced in October 2026 at industry conferences in Vancouver, Munich and Amsterdam, where Recover presented the concept to brands, retailers and supply chain partners.
The campaign will continue throughout the fourth quarter of 2026 through international textile industry publications, digital communications, social media and targeted advertising.
Activities include campaigns on LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, alongside localised promotions connected to major industry events.
Through these initiatives, Recover aims to encourage greater recognition of recycling technologies that have already demonstrated their industrial and commercial viability.
Ophélie Guitard, Head of Brand & Content at Recover, explains the creative approach: “REAL was built around a simple creative idea: make proof visible. It’s a natural extension of the strong and distinctive ingredient brand Recover has built over the last few years. The campaign turns the strengths behind Recover into clear, memorable messages that bring the conversation back to what can be done today.”
Combining existing solutions with future innovation
Recover's recycled cotton technology builds on decades of development and is now deployed across international textile supply chains.
With REAL, the company seeks to demonstrate that progress towards greater circularity depends not only on technological breakthroughs but also on the wider adoption of recycling solutions that are already available.
The campaign therefore positions industrial scalability, traceability and measurable environmental performance as important factors in accelerating the transition towards more circular textile production.
