ADVANSA's ALLERBAN®+ receives Allergy UK Seal of Approval

The biocide-free fibre technology ALLERBAN®+ has received the Allergy UK Seal of Approval, adding to the existing recognition of ADVANSA's ALLERBAN® technology for dust mite allergen protection.

ADVANSA has announced that its ALLERBAN®+ fibre technology has received the Seal of Approval from Allergy UK – The British Allergy Foundation. The recognition marks another milestone in the company's development of fibre technologies designed to provide protection against dust mite allergens in bedding applications.

Biocide-free protection with ALLERBAN®+

ALLERBAN®+ uses a biomimetic fibre surface designed to help prevent the development of dust mite allergens without the use of biocides. According to ADVANSA, the technology also improves air circulation and reduces moisture retention, helping to create an environment less favourable to dust mites.

The technology offers an alternative approach to allergen protection by focusing on the physical properties of the fibre surface rather than biocidal treatments.

ALLERBAN® combines comfort with antimicrobial properties

ADVANSA's established ALLERBAN® technology has already been recognised by Allergy UK. It combines sleep comfort with antibacterial and antifungal properties designed to inhibit the growth of common bacteria and fungi in fibre fillings.

Both ALLERBAN® and ALLERBAN®+ have undergone independent dust mite testing by T.E.C. laboratory in accordance with NF G 39-011. According to ADVANSA, the fibres are also OEKO-TEX® approved.

Further information on the certification is available from Allergy UK.
