Division Textile:As a partner in the textile industry Küsters develops, manufactures and sells machines and ranges for the finishing of woven and knitted goods, pile and carpet fabrics. The technical know-how is particularly concentrated on large cloth widths with individual concepts for pretreatment, washing after dyeing or printing and dyeing pad steam or cold pad batch - full or part continuous process.

Küsters supply corresponding dosing and process automation systems. as well as special machines for the finishing of pile fabrics i.e. velvet or corduroy.

According to the particular wishes and requirements of the customers the Küsters? finishing ranges comprise all necessary finishing components: entries/outlets, washing compartments, padders, application machines, steamers, squeezing units, vacuum and dosing systems.

The continuous development of Küsters technologies is mainly determined by the following maxims: ecology, reproducibility and economy. Technological advice, optimising of the production process and worldwide service have always played an important role in the Küsters philosophy.
There is a remarkable R & D lab available in Krefeld. In 2001, the research and development department is focussing on the following projects.Development of a liquid dye dosing station for high-accuracy simultaneous dosing of twelve liquid products at up to five dosing points.Further development of the reactive Cold Pad Batch Dyeing Center (CPB) towards the so-called Best Available Technology (BAT). The attained reproducibility , economy as well as the ecologically benefical mode of operation on a low energy level are gaining a high acceptance.Exhibit: New 2-roll textile calender. Küsters have redesigned the 2-roll calender with the Swimming Roll and Flexroll Sleeve technology to create a compact and maintenance friendly machine.
