Versatile projectile technology
Sultex Limited is the world?s only manufacturer of projectile weaving machines. This weft insertion system will be represented in Shanghai by the Sulzer Textil P7300. Tried and tested in its various applications, the P7300 excels with numerous control and production-technological features:machine control based on leading-edge hardware and software componentsnew machine design with mature shed geometrybrowser-ready terminal for direct Internet access with integrated help functiontucked selvedges 15 or 35 mm widemaximum availability thanks to new lubrication and maintenance system.For the production of clothing textiles, e.g. denim and medium to heavy technical textiles, modern projectile weft insertion is the most economical and most efficient weaving system. These machines are capable of weaving practically all types of yarn ? cotton, wool, silk, monofilament, multifilament, tapes and even hard fibres like jute and linen, as well as metal. The projectile reliably grips and inserts all yarns, whether fine or coarse. Faultless yarn processing ensures production of fabrics which satisfy the highest quality criteria.

Standard projectile weaving machines are currently available with weaving widths up to 5.45 m. For special applications, projectile technology is also available in widths up to 8.4 metres ? for filter fabrics for paper-making machinery, agro- and geotextiles, conveyor belts, and filtering, tarpaulin and wire fabrics.

M8300 - Multi-phase technology sets new performance standard The Sulzer Textil M8300 multi-phase weaving machine is a ground-breaking weaving system for manufacturing top-quality standard fabrics. With a weft insertion rate of up to 5500 m/min, its performance potential is several times higher than that of any single-phase high-speed weaving machine. Even at the top end of its performance range, the weft is inserted at a constant, uniform yarn velocity of just 22 m/s, with minimal weft loading. Compared with single-phase weaving machines, the M8300 has numerous advantages with regard to cost-efficiency and the production environment, including:minimum specific energy consumptionsmall footprintreduced room air treatment requirement and less dust production thanks to air conditioning of the working area and integrated dust extractionsubstantially lower noise emissions20 to 30 per cent lower production costs.Complementing the live demonstrations of the P7300 and M8300 at Shanghaitex '03, in the Swiss Pavilion in Hall 2, Booth 2C95, Sultex Limited will be providing information on its full range of weaving machines and presenting its extensive after-sales service.
