DIENES sails with the possibilities offered by the Internet of Things for further innovations. Industry 4.0 maybe mocked as a marketing hype, but for the company allows the progressive integration of bus systems to meet interesting solutions to customer requirements by the engineers.

Furthermore, together with the ITA Aachen, a system was designed that accelerates the wet spinning process by controlled, multistage coagulation. For technical implementation, partners in the industry are currently being sought.

In addition, extraordinary processes to carry out reactions under the most difficult conditions, together with the DITF Denkendorf, have taken on a technological challenge in an EU project, which uses a PE precursor with the help of elemental sulfur to produce the preliminary stage to a carbon fiber. As a result, significant savings in the production of carbon fibers can be achieved.

In the field of high performance godets, DIENES focuses on the special applications in the high temperature range. Godets of over 500 ° C have been used successfully for years. Together with ITM Dresden, a joint development of new processes for the production of high-melting polymers is currently taking place.

In addition, DIENES, with ingenious employees in electrical engineering and control technology, is constantly realizing new developments that are redefining Industrie 4.0 in the area of research and development. The systems are now equipped with high-performance processors that realize the necessary control speeds and fastest communication between the modules. DIENES at Techtextil 2026: Flexible pilot lines for bio-based fiber development

The growing relevance of bio-based materials in technical textiles is accompanied by increasing demands for reproducibility, high-quality data, and scalable process routes. Especially when working with cellulose and its derivatives, chitosan, lignin-based approaches, or bio-based PAN as a carbon-fiber precursor, R&D teams face variable feedstock quality, tighter process windows, and the need for reliable comparability across trials. This calls for flexible, data-driven experimental setups that can be reconfigured efficiently when recipes, solvents, and raw-material batches change.

Research work in this field is characterised by a high degree of adaptation needs, hence demanding an efficient, systematic and, in part, self-optimising experimental working system, which must be intelligent in gathering data from the process and flexible in enabling its rearrangement.

Gebr. Otto highlights versatility at Techtextil with regional supply chains, yarn innovations and new hygiene segment

At this year’s Techtextil, Gebr. Otto places its versatility at the center of its presentation. In addition to spinning, twisting and dyeing – traditionally focused on fine cotton – textile processors will also find a competent development partner for technical specialty solutions. The Dietenheim-based spinning mill has now built up a decade of experience in the production of technical yarns, particularly from aramids. A new hygiene segment has also been established, where yarns for medical and hygiene products are currently being produced. In the future, this department could also develop textile products for the food sector. Gebr. Otto will once again be present at the BW-i joint stand, booth D81, hall 12.1. OnceMore® from Södra brings end-to-end traceability for circular Man-made Cellulosic Fibers (MMCF) using TextileGenesis
