The 10th edition of Texhibition Istanbul Fabric and Textile Accessories Fair will take place from 9 to 11 September 2026 at Istanbul Expo Center. More than 500 exhibiting companies across five halls and 42,850 square metres will present new-season collections, materials and technologies, bringing together Türkiye’s textile production strength with an increasingly international sourcing community.

As one of the world’s established textile manufacturing countries, Türkiye offers international brands and buyers a broad spectrum of materials and production capabilities. Texhibition provides direct access to this ecosystem, connecting manufacturers with brands, designers, sourcing specialists, product developers and industry decision-makers looking for reliable production partners and new material solutions.

Following an edition in March 2026 that attracted more than 20,000 professional visitors, including 5,565 from abroad, Texhibition is placing an even stronger emphasis this September on the quality and relevance of its international audience. A carefully selected visitor profile focuses particularly on brands, buyers, designers and product development professionals. Dedicated Business Lounge and B2B areas support targeted meetings and create an efficient environment for establishing new sourcing and business relationships.

Across the five exhibition halls, the fair covers the textile industry’s key product categories: Hall 4 is dedicated to knitted fabrics, Halls 5 and 6 to woven fabrics, with printed fabrics and artificial leather also located in Hall 6. Hall 7 hosts Blue Black, Texhibition’s denim platform, while Hall 8 brings together yarn, knitting, embroidery and lace, and accessories. Dedicated Trend Areas accompany the respective product segments, while the ReValue Stock Hub is located in Hall 5. In the foyer, the Innovation Hub and SmartTex HUB (Technical Textiles Hub) put innovation and future-oriented textile solutions centre stage.

International perspectives broaden the sourcing offer

The international dimension is also reflected on the exhibitor side. Four international textile companies from Italy and Japan are joining Texhibition this season: CAFISSI S.P.A., STYLEM TAKISADA-OSAKA CO., LTD., UNI TEXTILE CO., LTD. and LANIFICIO BRUNETTO MORGANTI & C. S.P.A.

CAFISSI and Lanificio Brunetto Morganti strengthen the fair’s wool fabric and wool collection offer, while UNI TEXTILE focuses more strongly on synthetic fabrics. STYLEM TAKISADA-OSAKA, one of Japan’s leading textile companies, adds an extensive fabric portfolio and international network. Discussions with further potential international exhibitors are ongoing.

Blue Black: Denim expertise meets business

Blue Black, Texhibition Istanbul’s dedicated denim platform, brings together selected manufacturers, new fabric developments, contemporary washes, surface treatments and more responsible production approaches. It provides brands, designers, buyers and product development teams with a focused view of Türkiye’s denim expertise – from fibre choices, constructions and dyeing methods to finishing techniques, performance and visual identity.

The Denim B2B Area adds a dedicated commercial dimension to the platform. Pre-arranged and direct meetings bring manufacturers together with international buyers, enabling them to move efficiently from reviewing materials and technical capabilities to discussing concrete sourcing and production requirements.

Denim-focused talks, trend content and industry perspectives complement the platform, connecting design directions with production realities. As part of Texhibition Istanbul’s 10th edition, Blue Black highlights the capabilities and growing international relevance of Türkiye’s denim sector.

Innovation Hub: From material to experience

Located in the foyer this season, the Texhibition Innovation Hub is conceived as an integrated platform exploring the future of textiles at the intersection of technology, design, materials and spatial experience. Rather than presenting innovation simply through new materials or technologies, the Hub makes the

transformation process itself visible: from idea to material, from material to design and from design to experience.

Filiz Tunca and Gamze Saraçoğlu jointly undertook the Creative Direction, Curatorship, Content and Presentation Concept of the Innovation Hub, combining creative vision, technical content and an experiential presentation approach.

Fluid textile layers, architectural elements, lighting and material surfaces create an environment in which visitors become active participants. Materials can be touched and experienced, while the presentation traces the journey from research and technology to material development and finished design.

Innovative, functional and sustainable textiles are presented around next-generation materials and technologies including hemp, bio-microencapsulation and thermal regulation. Technical data sheets, fabric specifications and Hub Talks complement the physical experience and translate complex technical developments into an accessible industry narrative.

The Innovation Hub therefore approaches textiles not simply as products on display, but as part of an interconnected system in which research, technology, sustainability, creativity and design come together to shape the future of the industry. Also located in the foyer, the SmartTex HUB (Technical Textiles Hub) extends this future-oriented focus to the field of technical textiles.

AI and technology enter the textile conversation

Digital transformation is another focus of the September edition. Companies working at the intersection of textiles, technology and artificial intelligence illustrate how emerging technologies are becoming increasingly relevant across the textile value chain. The participation of companies including A.I.T. and Docode provides a platform for exploring the growing role of AI and new technological solutions within the industry.

This focus complements the Innovation Hub and underlines a broader development within the sector: innovation is increasingly defined by the interaction between materials expertise, technological capabilities, design intelligence and new production processes.

Traces of Time: Looking ahead to Autumn/Winter 2027–2028

Alongside sourcing and innovation, Texhibition strengthens its role as a platform for trend forecasting and future industry insights. This season, the TEXHIBITION Trend Areas are shaped around the main concept “Traces of Time – Carrying the Past into the Future,” exploring time as a continuous transformation in which every new layer carries traces of the past.

The concept unfolds across four thematic worlds: Earth, Water, Light and Sky. Earth draws on natural pigments, mineral structures and raw textures; Water explores fluidity, transparency and reflection; Light interprets the passage of time through delicate shimmer, shadows and subtle transitions; while Sky evokes infinity and new possibilities through light, voluminous and atmospheric surfaces.

Curated selections of woven, knitted and textile accessory samples translate these themes into the key Autumn/Winter 2027–2028 colour palettes, material characteristics, tactile innovations and surface trends.

International trend expertise complements the concept: WGSN and Fashion Snoops are part of this season’s trend forecasting programme, bringing additional perspectives on upcoming consumer, material and design developments, while Riccardo Rami Studio contributes with a dedicated seminar.

Together, the Trend Areas go beyond a showcase of seasonal directions, connecting the textile industry’s accumulated heritage with innovative materials, contemporary design perspectives and forward-looking approaches to production.

Istanbul connects production, innovation and global markets

With more than 500 exhibitors, an increasingly targeted international visitor profile, new international participation and a programme spanning sourcing, trends, technology and innovation, Texhibition brings the different forces currently reshaping the textile industry together in Istanbul.

At a time when brands and buyers are reassessing sourcing strategies, material choices and production partnerships, the fair provides a concentrated

view of Türkiye’s textile capabilities while opening the dialogue to international expertise and emerging technologies.

Next Dates:

The next edition of Texhibition Istanbul will take place from 9 to 11 September 2026, followed by another edition from 3 to 5 March 2027.

IFCO – Istanbul Fashion Connection will return from 3 to 6 February 2027 and again from 8 to 10 September 2027. In addition, the new sourcing format Sourceist is scheduled for 4–5 February 2027.

Global cotton production projected to outpace consumption, but risks remain

Global cotton production is projected to reach 26.2 million tonnes in the 2026/27 season, marginally outpacing estimated consumption of 25.9 million tonnes. However, early-season production risks — including weather volatility and pest pressures — could narrow that buffer as the crop progresses, according to the September 2026 issue of Cotton This Month, published by the International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC).
