Double launch for Roland DG

Roland DG announces two new products. The new VersaUV LEF2-300D has been introduced to enhance print possibilities, while the latest version of Roland’s renowned RIP software – Ergosoft Roland Edition 3 – enhances the user-experience for Texart customers.

Discover the new potential of the LEF2-300D

First introduced in 2011, the VersaUV LEF series has proved incredibly popular, witnessing years of evolution to allow for larger bed sizes and finer finishing details. Today, Roland DG has released the VersaUV LEF2-300D, a new model with 200mm height, which not only supports taller items, but adds capacity for a wider variety of jigs, expanding the print potential on offer. The VersaUV LEF creates vibrant colour and realistic textures, allowing for on demand customisation across a range of products and substrates, including leather bags, shoes, phone cases and other promotional items and gifts.

They come not just from the print industry, but also from retail, manufacturing and other industries - many of whom previously only relied on screen printing processes, without a complementary digital device such as the VersaUV series.”

Ergosoft Roland Edition

With a variety of new features and improvements, including a redesigned user interface for intuitive operation and enhanced user experience, the ability to quickly find and reach target spot colour, automatic spot replacement and overall improved user efficiency and productivity, this latest edition of Roland’s RIP software is a perfect match for high quality textile printing. Existing Texart XT-640/RT-640 users who have activated editions 1 and 2 are eligible for a free upgrade between 24th March and 30th September 2020.

Mimaki upgrades TS330 series for vibrant and seamless dye sublimation printing

The TS330 Series now provides users with an extended colour gamut, offering the flexibility to serve different markets profitably from one solution – from fashion to décor to signage – with improved colour vibrancy, fidelity and accuracy. Mimaki also introduces a larger solution to the TS330 Series, the TS330-1800, able to accommodate single-piece, wide textile fabrics, ideal for larger home décor applications.

Mimaki demonstrates versatile, simple TRAPIS textile printing at Heimtextil 2026

Mimaki’s textile pigment transfer printing system, TRAPIS, is able to print on a diverse range of fabrics - unlike traditional processes - including natural fibres and synthetic fabrics. The full solution will be shown on Mimaki’s booth (Hall 3.0 Stand A97), as the company returns to Heimtextil to showcase its advancements in sustainable, high quality and efficient textile printing.

Exchange data between textile companies openly, securely and cost-effectively without a central platform – ITA makes it possible

The Institut für Textiltechnik (ITA) of RWTH Aachen University has launched a new demonstrator for an open and secure data space in the textile industry at the Digital Innovation Centre Europe (DICE). For the first time, the demonstrator shows directly and clearly how companies can share their data securely with each other without the need for a central platform. Data exchange is based on shared, freely usable technical foundations.

Kelheim Fibres GmbH informs about the closure of operations

The management of Kelheim Fibres GmbH informs that business operations will be terminated as of 31 March 2026. A continuation of the company beyond this date is not possible. The investor and sales process conducted within the framework of the self-administration did not lead to a positive outcome. The potential strategic investor who most recently entered the process has withdrawn from a potential investment at short notice.
