PERFORMANCE DAYS with a comprehensive range of topics
The countdown is on – with just under six weeks to go until PERFORMANCE DAYS opens its doors – once again on expanded exhibition space in halls A1 and A2 at Messe München. The fair is already fully booked, confirming its role as a key comprehensive information platform for the industry. PERFORMANCE DAYS is especially proud of the expansion of its special areas.
Bodywear Collective: the latest fiber trends from the bodywear sector The idea and execution are spearheaded by the London Contour Experts Group, with a team of top consultants and industry experts. Manufacturers from various categories will present their highlights and innovations in fabric and fiber at the 'Bodywear Collective.' The Bodywear Innovation Zone focuses on true innovations and concepts that bridge the gap between established brands and emerging startups. At the heart of the area is a Bodywear Tech-Hub, which explores solutions for digitalization processes and, in collaboration with Style 3D ASSYST, offers insight into the future of 3D soft body technology. Categories showcased in the Bodywear Collective include shapewear, underwear, swimwear, bras & leggings and Yoga in motion.

Wool Area: A special section at PERFORMANCE DAYS for wool innovations Natural fibers, especially wool, are true multitaskers. No wonder – fine wool fibers are known for their ability to retain body heat, become stronger when wet, and adapt well to the body. Compared to plant-based and synthetic fibers, animal fibers are significantly more eco-friendly during use, as they require less frequent and gentler washing. This saves considerable amounts of energy, water, and detergents, and the regenerative properties of the fibers allow for longer use. Additionally, wool's natural lanolin and fiber structure repel odors and dirt, further reducing the need for frequent cleaning. Many manufacturers now offer wool in recycled variants. PERFORMANCE DAYS recognized this trend early on and increasingly showcases wool innovations. The demand for sustainably produced animal fibers has grown significantly in recent years, particularly in the outdoor sector. Many manufacturers are excited to present their innovations at the fair.
Exhibitors in the Wool Area (Hall A2): Woolmark, Engraw / Istex, Xinao, Tessile Fiorentina, NGS, Global Merino, Feinjersey, Schoeller, lavalan, Thygesen & Birk fa, Willy Schmitz/BT/Garlita, Utenos.
NextGen Education Hub: the future of education This area in Hall A2 is a dedicated space for universities to present their programs in pop-up stands (including Utah State, AMD, and others). There will also be workshops. The space is aimed at students and young professionals, offering opportunities for further education, networking, and potential job contacts.
Test Areas in the Tech Hub & Footwear Area: new solutions for digital transformation The increasing demand for individuality and the influence of digitalization are causing significant changes in the textile industry. What key trends must innovation leaders consider to take a leading role in the industry? PERFORMANCE DAYS addresses this topic in the Technology Hub, presenting solutions for the digitalization processes of companies and manufacturers. A new test area will make its debut at the next PERFORMANCE DAYS. James Heal will present exciting testing solutions. As water repellency is a crucial function of technical fabrics, it is essential for safety and comfort that these fabrics and garments perform as expected – repelling water and protecting the wearer. The "TruRain" is an 'improvement and advancement' of the currently available Bundesmann tester. The TruRain water repellency tester simulates real-life conditions and therefore provides an accurate assessment of fabric performance. This process is used in the development of water-repellent garments and accessories.
In order to clearly document the two important aspects waterrepellency and waterproofness, there will be a separate testing range in the Footwear Area at the upcoming PERFORMANCE DAYS: HDry continuously cooperate with gear manufacturers for fine tuning and upgrading production process and to verify waterproofness, breathability and comfort. In the Flexing Test boots are placed in a water bath and flexed for up to hundreds of thousands of cycles according to SATRA method TM77, simulating walking or running in extreme weather conditions. If the design or materials are not meeting the severe HDry standard, the sensors of the test machine will warn of the presence of humidity in the shoe.
Exhibitors in the Tech Hub (Hall A2): Vizoo, Grand Studio, Kornit, VSK Technology, Hohenstein Digital Fitting Lab, DMIx Color Digital GmbH
PERFORMANCE DAYS also offers a dedicated Sustainability Lounge, providing the ideal environment for industry-wide networking. The lounge is intended to foster exchange and discussion and serve as an information platform, focusing on developments, news, highlights, innovative projects, and sustainability-related innovations.
